In my early twenties, I moved from my native England to Paris in fulfilment of a lifelong dream, and never looked back. (What could possibly compete with the allure of a country boasting over 400 varieties of cheese?) I've now been living in France for almost a decade, and la vie parisienne and the expat experience are two of my favourite topics to write (and complain) about. 

On the rare occasions I put down my pen (/keyboard), it's probably to pick up my guitar; when I'm not writing, I spend the majority of my remaining waking hours playing music. I can often be found singing in the halls of the Parisian metro, or wandering the streets of my adopted city, snapping scenic photos and hunting down new culinary delights. I also love to explore new places and cultures, and consider myself something of an expert on both travel planning and solo travel — especially on a budget. (Where's the challenge otherwise?)
