In my early twenties, I moved from my native England to Paris in fulfilment of a lifelong dream, and never looked back. (What could possibly compete with the allure of a country with over 400 varieties of cheese?) I've now been living in France for over seven years, and la vie parisienne and the expat experience are two of my favourite topics to write (and complain) about. 

On the rare occasions I put down my pen (/keyboard), it's probably to pick up my guitar; when I'm not writing, I spend the majority of my remaining waking hours playing music. At weekends, I can often be found singing in the halls of the Parisian metro, or wandering the streets of my adopted city, snapping scenic photos and hunting down new culinary delights. I also love to explore new places and cultures, and consider myself something of an expert on both travel planning and solo travel — especially on a budget. (Where's the challenge otherwise?)
